privacy notice

How we use your details.

This notice explains what BehaviorBots collects through the forms on this site, why, who handles it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

BehaviorBots is run by Artivisual Media Ltd, a company registered in England with company number 10881316. Our registered office is The Bristol Office, 2nd Floor, 5 High Street, Westbury-On-Trym, Bristol, England, BS9 3BY.

We are responsible for the details you give us through this site. For anything in this notice, email us at hello@wearecreaitive.com.

What we collect

The customer form (“I'm a customer” on our homepage):

  • your email address and, if you give it, your first name;
  • the brand you wish treated you better, how you feel about them now, how often you buy from them, and what you would most want from them;
  • anything else you choose to tell us, up to 280 characters;
  • whether you agreed to emails from us, and whether you agreed that we can quote what you wrote without your name.

The business form (“I'm a business” on our homepage):

  • your name, organisation, role and work email;
  • your sector (and, if you choose Other and tell us, which sector), where you mainly sell if you tell us, the commercial moment that matters most to you, and, if you give it, what you are trying to fix;
  • whether you agreed that we can contact you about becoming a founding partner.

Earlier sign-ups. Sign-ups made through our earlier manifesto page are kept and handled as described here for customer sign-ups.

With both forms, we also record the date and time you sent the form and how you found us: the campaign tags (UTM tags) in the link you followed and the web address of the page that sent you, or “direct” if there were none. These forms also have a hidden field that helps us spot automated spam.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • Emails about BehaviorBots, for customers and manifesto sign-ups. We email you about BehaviorBots and tell you when you can try it. We do this because you agreed to it when you sent the form (your consent).
  • Quoting what you wrote. We only quote what you wrote on the customer form if you ticked the box to say we can, and never with your name. This is also based on your consent.
  • Understanding what people want. We count customer answers together, such as which brands people name, how they feel about them and which moments matter most, to decide what to build and which businesses to approach. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests to understand demand for BehaviorBots, and outside our team we only use the totals, never your individual answers. The exception is a quote you agreed we could use: we may share it without your name, including with the brand you named.
  • Business enquiries. We reply to your enquiry and talk to you about a founding partner pilot. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests to respond to businesses that contact us.

Who processes it for us

We use five services to run BehaviorBots. They handle your details only on our instructions and may not use them for anything else.

  • Supabase stores everything sent through the forms on this site.
  • Vercel hosts the website, so it handles the requests your browser makes when you visit, including your IP address.
  • Notion is where we keep track of business enquiries in our outreach pipeline.
  • PostHog counts visits and how people use the site (see “Analytics” below).
  • Resend sends our emails, including the confirmation you receive when you sign up and the alert we receive about each new sign-up.

The site also loads its fonts from Google Fonts, and, when you send a form, loads the code that talks to Supabase from esm.sh. These services receive your IP address so they can deliver those files, but they do not receive anything you type into a form.

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with the brands you name, apart from a quote you agreed we could use, shared without your name.

Where it is stored, and international transfers

Details you send through the forms on this site are stored in the UK, in a database run for us by Supabase in its London region. Vercel, Notion and Resend are based in the United States, so some details may be handled or accessed outside the UK, and PostHog stores its analytics data in the European Union. Where that happens, they are protected by the standard safeguards each service provides for data from the UK, such as the UK's approved international data transfer agreements.

How long we keep it

  • Customer and manifesto sign-ups: for two years, or until you unsubscribe, whichever is sooner.
  • Business enquiries: for three years after our last contact with you.

After that, we delete your details.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

  • give you a copy of the details we hold about you (access);
  • correct anything that is wrong (correction);
  • delete your details (deletion);
  • stop using your details where we rely on our legitimate interests (objection);
  • stop doing anything you agreed to, such as emailing you or quoting you (withdrawing consent). This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email hello@wearecreaitive.com, ideally from the address you used on the form so we can find your details. It is free, and we will reply within one month.

How to unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe at any time by replying “unsubscribe” to any email we send you, or by emailing hello@wearecreaitive.com. We will stop emailing you straight away.

Analytics

We use PostHog to count visits and see how people use the site, such as which pages they view, which buttons they click and whether they try the demos. It runs without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. It records your IP address and the pages you visit, but never what you type into forms. PostHog stores this data in the European Union. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests to understand how the site is used and improve it, and if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, PostHog records nothing.

PostHog also records how visitors use each page, such as mouse movements, clicks, scrolling and which parts of the page they look at, so we can improve the site. These recordings never show anything you type or choose in a form: form fields are hidden from them. PostHog stores the recordings in the European Union, and if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is recorded.

Cookies and storage

This site does not set any cookies, does not store anything in your browser, and does not use advertising trackers.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, please tell us first at hello@wearecreaitive.com and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page if what we collect, or how we use it, changes.
